The TBNET Training Grant
|

The TBNET Training Grant has been announced for the first time in spring 2010. This award offers a bursary for the attendance of the WHO training course:

"Implementing the STOP TB strategy: skills for manager and consultants (TB, MDR-/XDR-TB, TB/HIV and more)"

- In May 2010 the TBNET Training Grant has been awarded to Dr. James Prince (Vellore/India)
|
- In March 2011 the TBNET Training Grant has been awarded to Laia Fina from Barcelona (Spain)
|
- In April 2011 the TBNET Training Grants have been awarded to Dr. Victor Botnaru (Moldova), to Dr. Dimitru Chesov (Moldova) and to Dr. Alexandru Buga (Moldova)

The TBNET Academy
|
The TBNET Academy is a new forum for young clinicians and scientists in the field of Tuberculosis to exchange ideas and to learn from each other under expert guidance and mentorship. The grant offers hotel board and lodging, course fee and a travel funding.
|
- In March 2011 the first TBNET Academy took place in St. Leonhard in Austria. Eighteen young and talented clinicians and scientists have been selected to meet international experts on the fields of clinical tuberculosis, tuberculosis immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, epidemiology and public health.
